Daniel Lanois to Release LP6 Digitally

Pulling double duty while working on U2's forthcoming LP, producer and singer/songwriter Daniel Lanois has announced the release of his sixth solo album, Here Is What Is, which will arrive as a digital download Dec. 15 exclusively via redfloorrecords.com. But don't get your hopes up, cheapskates, for the forthcoming set, recorded in Toronto, Los Angeles and Shreveport, LA with drummer Brian Blade and Band pianist Garth Hudson, and accompanied by a documentary, won't be offered as a pay-what-you-want download a la Radiohead's In Rainbows, instead arriving at the set price of $9.99. But here, the quality is superior; the album will be available in a CD quality WAV format. For techno-Neanderthals still into CDs, Here Is What Is will drop stateside as a conventional disc March 18, the same day as the documentary, which, as detailed by Lanois in a statement, "is a camera following me around over the course of a year, in and out of recording studios documenting once and for all the way it really happens."

Here Is What Is tracklisting:

1. "Chest of Drawers"
2. "Where Will I Be"
3. "Here Is What Is"
4. "Not Fighting Anymore"
5. "Beauty"
6. "Blue Bus"
7. "Lovechild"
8. "Harry"
9. "Bells"
