As The Colbert Report winds down its ten-season run, the Comedy Central talk show welcomed its final musical guest on Tuesday night: Kendrick Lamar. The Compton rapper used the occasion to debut a new song. Joined by a live backing band that included a female backing vocalist, as well as special guests Thundercat and Bilal, K-Dot delivered a focused, rapid-fire performance. The track — which is untitled at the moment, according to a quick interview Lamar did with Colbert just before hitting the stage — opened with a spoken-word intro and featured lyrics that deal with religion and success, and ended with the lines, “Tell ’em we don’t die / Tell ’em we don’t die / We multiply.”

Right now, it has not yet been confirmed if the song will appear on the highly anticipated follow-up to Lamar’s 2012 opus, good kid, m.A.A.d city. Watch the interview and performance above, via Mr. World Premiere (the performance starts at around the 4:00 mark). The final episode of The Colbert Report will air on Thursday, December 18.
