Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Lorde, and Miguel will all perform for this year's Grammy nominations television special. The confirmation came from the Recording Academy on December 5, just one day ahead of the December 6 telecast. Other additions to the lineup include T.I. and members of Earth, Wind, and Fire. They all join a roster of live talent that includes Drake, Robin Thicke, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and Keith Urban.
Swift and Perry won't be onstage at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, though. Their performances will be broadcast from overseas locations: T-Swift from Australia, Katy (sans geisha get-up, hopefully) from Canada.
Members of Earth, Wind, and Fire will be under the Nokia roof, however, taking part in a joint performance with T.I. and Robin Thicke. Miguel, meanwhile, will team-up with Keith Urban for some reason.
As for presenters, CBS has locked down Arsenio Hall, Ed Sheeran, and Enrique Iglesias, with more to be announced. Stay tuned for any other updates.
LL Cool J will once again host the proceedings, which are officially billed as The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! — Countdown to Music's Biggest Night. The one-hour event will be broadcast live on CBS on Friday, December 6, beginning at 10 p.m. EST.
The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in L.A. and air live on CBS on January 26, 2014.
