As London songstress Kate Nash told SPIN recently, the writing of her punk-inflected third full-length, Girl Talk, came as both surprise and catharsis. Nash had been struggling with a breakup at the time, and guitar in hand, she took to penning a slew of sharp-tongued rock numbers like first single “3AM,” a highlight that now has a visual component anyone nursing a broken heart can appreciate.
