The music video for "Empire," the eponymous lead single off Kasabian's sophomore album (out Sept. 19), is a 19th Century-inspired piece playing out like a Civil War flick. The clip flashes between tattered flags and battered soldiers, and it follows flask-wielding frontman Tom Meighan as he marches toward his enemies, throws down his coat, and pleads for peace with the firing squad in front of him: "Stop...We're all wasting away / We're all wasting away." Are the soldiers convinced by Meighan's moving chorus? Or, do they fire at him anyway?
