Last night, Kanye West surprised fans at Common’s AAHH! Festival in Chicago with a 16-song long set list that included greatest hits like “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” and “Gold Digger.” He also witnessed a very special appearance in the crowd courtesy of a fan in wheelchair, which made the Internet half-explode because irony is alive and well in 2014.
To recap: last weekend, news hit the web that Kanye had “stopped a concert” in Australia and wouldn’t resume his performance until some handicapped fans stood up. It was, of course, an embellishment disproven by video footage of the events, but #Wheelchairgate was born and took on metaphorical legs of its own. During last night’s AAHH! Festival, all the universe’s wrongs were righted in one glorious momnent:
