While the release date and title of Kanye West’s fifth studio album are still unconfirmed, the rapper will start delivering new music to fans this Friday, when he’ll begin offering a free MP3 download per week-for the rest of the year.

“I know y’all need the music so I’m dropping one new song every weekend until Xmas,” West tweeted yesterday. “It may be my song, it may be a new Jay song etc…”

“We look at the game completely different now,” ‘Ye said of the initiative, which he’s calling “Good Fridays,” perhaps a riff off West’s label name, GOOD Records (which stands for “Getting Out Our Dreams”). “It’s about the fans. No more holding back. That’s why I dropped ‘See Me Now’ [a new song, featuring Beyonce, which West posted for free earlier this month].”

It’s unclear whether West will be tweeting out these new songs or posting them on his blog, but he did upload more new, free music over the weekend-an official remix of his first single of 2010, “Power,” which you can download here.

According to Twitter, West is currently in Prague, where he’s working on a film companion to the new album. He’s also remixing a song, “Runaway Love,” for Justin Bieber, which will feature a guest verse from Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon.
