Kanye West Pleads Not Guilty in Alleged Paparazzi Attack

Kanye West Not Guilty LAX Paparazzi Trial Court Battery

Kanye West plead not guilty to criminal battery and attempted grand theft on Thursday in the case of his well-documented scuffle with paparazzo Daniel Ramos outside of Los Angles’ LAX airport. The Yeezus star was not present for the court date, via TMZ, so his lawyer Blair Berk filed on his behalf. This drew the ire of the plaintiff’s famous attorney Gloria Allred, who, in the video below, seems pretty up-to-date on West’s recent touring woes.

The criminal charges, of course, stem from the July incident in which West was caught on camera seemingly attacking a photographer who’d been needling him with aggressive questions on what the MC has since calmly characterized as a very, very bad day. Initial felony charges were tossed out, but the misdemeanor case carries a maximum penalty of a year behind bars. Allred and Ramos have also filed a civil suit against West.
