  • Kanye West, Jay-Z, Britney Spears will be dropping heavily anticipated new music next Tuesday. After an unofficial demo leaked this week, Spears will unveil the finished version of “Hold It Against Me,” produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke. “If you think that’s good, wait til you hear the real one Tuesday,” she posted on her Facebook. Meanwhile, West and Jay-Z will drop the first track from their collaborative album Watch the Throne. West Tweeted the artwork for the single “H.A.M.” yesterday.

  • After reports surfaced that Aretha Franklin was battling cancer, the soul legend has announced she’s feeling fine. “I know my fans are concerned,” she said after undergoing surgery for an undisclosed illness. “Let them know I am feeling great and coming along.” However, Franklin refused to address reports that she was suffering from pancreatic cancer: “I am not going to even deal with that. I don’t have to talk about my health with anybody other than my doctors.” [JET Magazine]
