During his appearance last week on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, Dave Chappelle recounted the story about his first interactions with longtime friend Kanye West. That appearance came in celebration of a rare string Chappelle standup dates at New York's Radio City Music Hall, and who would turned up for a surprise performance on that residency's second night but Yeezy himself.
No musical guests were initially expected for Friday night's show, but as Complex reports, Kanye came out to the strains of the "New Slaves," before launching into a medley of "Gold Digger" and "Jesus Walks." Though the fan-shot footage is fairly shaky, it's clear enough to see that the crowd is pretty stoked that Yeezus has matierialized right before their very eyes. Watch a clip of "New Slaves" above and footage of the latter medley below.
Dave Chappelle's Radio City Music Hall residency continues through June 26 and will feature performances from the Roots, Janelle Monae, Erykah Badu and more.
