Stream Jodeci’s First Single in 18 Years, ‘Nobody Wins’

Jodeci

’90s R&B stalwarts Jodeci haven’t released any music since their breakup in 1996, but, following a brief reunion at this year’s Soul Train Awards, they’re back with a brand-new single called “Nobody Wins.” If you watched the Awards, then you might’ve even heard a snippet of the song, which they debuted among a medley of classic tracks.

Featuring a guest spot from B.o.B., “Nobody Wins” has also been given the lyric-video treatment, which graphically depicts a young woman suffering from domestic abuse. Applying makeup to her bruised face, she stares at herself in the mirror as Jodeci harmonize with peacemaker lyrics: “Stop throwing those pots and pans / We don’t have to use our hands / Baby can you understand / I’m just being a man / Nobody wins.”

Watch the visuals above, grab “Nobody Wins” on iTunes, and keep your eyes peeled for news of a new Jodeci album, which, according to Stereogum, will feature production from Timbaland.
