Hear Jim Jarmusch’s ‘The Taste of Blood’ From the ‘Only Lovers Left Alive’ Soundtrack

If you want something done right, sometimes you have to do it yourself. Such is the case for the score to Jim Jarmusch’s new film Only Lovers Left Alive, which is performed by his band Sqürl, with contributions from Zola Jesus, Cults’ Madeline Follin, Lebanese singer Yasmine Hamdan, and Dutch composer Jozef Van Wissem. The film, which premiered at Cannes, stars Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton as centuries-old vampire lovers with excellent taste in music, and now you can hear Sqürl’s appropriately dark “The Taste of Blood.” The official soundtrack is scheduled to be released on February 17 via ATP Recordings on CD and 2xLP formats (via The Playlist).

Check out the gothic-Western song below, and read SPIN’s review of Only Lovers Left Aliveto find out why this might be Jarmusch’s most universally beloved movie yet.
