Jet Cancel Pair of Shows

Shows in Philly and Toronto are nixed due to frontman Nic Cester's acute laryngitis.

Jet have been forced to cancel two upcoming shows to allow frontman Nic Cester to recover from acute laryngitis. The shows -- Sept. 29 in Philadelphia and Oct. 1 in Toronto -- will be rescheduled for sometime in November, as Cester's doctor ordered him to take four to five days off. Jet's shows will recommence in Los Angeles when they perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Oct. 3, the day new album Shine On is released.

"We promise to make these shows up as soon as Nic is recovered and we're back on the East Coast," the band said in a statement. "Once again, our sincerest apologies to all of our fans. When we return, it will of course be with a vengeance."
