For decades, Jeopardy! has quizzed Americans' knowledge of history, science, geography, culture, and more. Now add Trent Reznor to that list. As Consequence of Sound points out, Tuesday's episode of the nightly game show featured a category called "Alt," which contained questions about Nine Inch Nails, the White Stripes, Sigur Rós, and other artists that, were this 1993, would definitely be described as "Alt." The contestants fared well — for the most part. (Sorry, Phil, but Hollywood Undead aren't responsible for "Diane Young," it's SPIN's Band of the Year, Vampire Weekend. Nice save on the Daft Punk question, though.)

Watch the clip above. Too bad Bob Odenkirk wasn't on hand to ask "What Is Puscifer?"
