Jay Z's 'Magna Carter World Tour' Will Lug 'Holy Grail' Around North America

Today, 34 U.S. and Canada solo dates; tomorrow, presumably, the actual world

Whatever Kanye West can do, Jay Z can do a bit bigger but probably slightly less compellingly. On the same day 'Ye revealed the dates of his Yeezus tour with Kendrick Lamar, West's Watch the Throne partner has announced the "Magna Carter World Tour" in support of his own chart-topping album Magna Carta Holy Grail.

The tour kicks off on November 30 in St. Paul, Minnesota, and ends on January 31 in State College, Pennsylvania, with — given the tour's name — the expectation Jay will then head overseas. Wedged in between those endpoints are two January dates at Barclays Center in Brooklyn's Barclays Center ("the House That Hov Built"), with breaks scheduled around Christmas and the turn of the calendar to 2014. Opening acts have yet to be announced, so let the speculating begin.

Jay Z, of course, spent the summer alongside Justin Timberlake on the duo's "Legends of the Summer" tour. He's also fresh off throwing the second annual Made in America Festival in Philadelphia, which was headlined by wife Beyoncé. Those who missed the first edition of Made in America can check out Ron Howard's upcoming HBO documentary detailing the festival's opening run.
