Jay-Z’s Made in America Festival to Return to Philadelphia This Summer

Jay-Z Made in America Festival Skrillex Pearl Jam Drake Odd Future D'Angelo

Jay-Z’s Made in America Festival is returning to Philadelphia for a second year, August 31 and September 1, reports Brooklyn Vegan. The two-day event will once again return to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The lineup will be announced on April 10 via Spotify, according to the small print on the promo video below. Last year’s headliners included Jigga himself, Skrillex, Pearl Jam, Drake, Miike Snow, Run-D.M.C., and Maybach Music Group. Odd Future and Passion Pit were also among the performers, and Kanye West made a surprise appearance as seen in the teaser clip.

In other news, Jay has decided to move his Roc Nation label from Columbia Records (owned by Sony) to Universal Music Group. As The Source points out, Sean Carter was the president of Universal’s flagship rap label Def Jam from 2004 to 2007. Roc Nation is currently home to J. Cole, Jay Electronica, Willow Smith, Bridget Kelly, and a few others, and manages artists ranging from Rihanna and Shakira to Meek Mill and Casey Veggies. If Kylie Minogue does a Made in America set backed by the Ting Tings with Wale as her hype-man, now you’ll know why.

Now look at these beautiful people having So Much Fun at last year’s fest:
