Two of hip-hop's biggest ballers -- Jay-Z and Eminem -- will stage massive, collaborative gigs in their respective hometown ballparks this September.

The duo appeared on TV broadcasts of last night's game in the Motor City between Jay's New York Yankees and Em's Detroit Tigers to announce the shows, set for September 2 at Detroit's Comerica Park (capacity 41,000) and September 13 at Yankee Stadium. The latter concert will be the first-ever held at the new Yankee Stadium, which opened in 2009 and seats more than 50,000 fans -- although Jay did play "Empire State of Mind" there with Alicia Keys before Game 2 of last year's World Series, which the Yankees won.

The stadium shows will cap a busy summer for both MCs, with Jay-Z headlining a number of major rock festivals, including June's Bonnaroo, in Tennessee, and European gatherings like T in the Park, Wireless, and Rock am Ring, a run that kicked off with his epic Coachella performance last month.

Eminem, meanwhile, is gearing up for the release of his seventh studio album, Recovery, on June 22; the first single, "Not Afraid," hit the internet in late April. Em will also hit the European festival circuit this summer, with gigs in Switzerland, Scotland, and Ireland preceding the two September shows in the States.
