David Letterman declared Janelle Monáe "the hardest working woman in show business" on Monday (September 9), after The Electric Lady danced all over his desk on national television. Living up to that unofficial title, Monáe hit the TV circuit again on Thursday (September 12) to perform "Dance Apocalyptic" on NBC's Today. The SPIN profile subject ran circles around Manhattan's Rockefeller Plaza, delivering an energetic rendition of the sock-hop-soul single while cuddling up to audience members on-camera. If Carson Daly really wants to be the new young and charming personality for Today (via New York), he should study this footage. Watch the performance above, and read SPIN's recent feature Does Janelle Monáe Dream of Electric Sheep?
