Jack White Palpitates Through Feverish 'I'm Shakin'' on 'Conan'

Latest 'Blunderbuss' blues squall gets Peacocks backing

Jack White has an exquisite case of the jitters. The former White Stripes frontman brought Little Willie John cover "I'm Shakin'," the latest single from solo debut Blunderbuss (SPIN's #35 album of the year) to Conan last night. His all-female band the Peacocks backed him on the frenetically quavering blues scorcher, leaving the black-suit-wearing White free mostly just to howl, save a wonderfully addled guitar solo. It takes a supremely road-tested rocker to convey nervousness so persuasively. You might break out in a cold sweat.
