Jack White Talks Grisly Injuries and Mechanical Games on ‘Ellen’

Jack White made a rare daytime TV appearance — really, we feel kind of weird seeing him in any kind of daylight these days — with a Thursday visit to Ellen. The Lazaretto man sat down to talk about his gruesome on-stage ankle injury in the Bay Area (and subsequent treatment by the Oakland Athletics’ medical staff, right next to center fielder Coco Crisp), and how he raises his two kids. (Shocker: He only lets them play “mechanical games,” not video games.)

White also played “Alone in My Home” and “Would You Fight for My Love,” though only the former performance appears available for Internet consumption (at least as of time of writing). Watch the interview above, and see the spirited performance of “Alone” here.
