Last month’s After Dark 2 compilation from Italians Do It Better was no less than six years in the making. Anticipation was riding high for the set helmed by synthesizer wizard Johnny Jewel and the 15-track mix did not disappoint. Now the entire thing can be streamed and downloaded for free (below) as one continuous track melding all of those glistening Glass Candy, Chromatics, Desire, and Mirage songs into one big pile of lush keyboards, canned percussion, and vocal come-ons. Though the stream arrives nearly a full month after the album hit iTunes, fans should be used to the Jewel crew’s wonky schedule. It took the label half a year to press the Chromatics’ excellent Kill for Love onto vinyl, and the video for AD2’s “Cherry Cherry” dropped all the way back in November. Italians also like to take their time, which may very well be why they do it better.
