Interpol Are Still Stuck in a Buffalo Blizzard

Interpol

In at least one part of America, it’s snowing enough to prevent Interpol from sticking to their current tour schedule. As we speak, the NYC post-punks are experiencing the first of what is sure to be many polar vortexes (vortexi?), as they’ve been literally trapped in a snowstorm for the last 40 hours.

Following their Columbus show at the Newport Music Hall, the guys took off in their bus to play another show in Toronto, but got stuck and had to cancel. Posting an apology to their website on Tuesday, Interpol wrote:

Dear Toronto,
Our bus is trapped in a snowstorm just outside of Buffalo. We haven’t moved our position on the road in over nine hours. Unfortunately, we’ll have to cancel tonight’s concert at the Kool Haus. We were greatly looking forward to the show but the big bad winter has come early this year. We will be informing people of a new date as soon as we can.
All the best,
Interpol

Updating their respective Twitter feeds with Hoth-like images of the snow, the guys have been steadily updating us with how they’re faring. Remember to share your “dry goods and vodka,” and if all truly goes to shit, just find a tauntaun to slice open.

UPDATE: Interpol have been forced to cancel another show, this time in Montreal. Updating their website, the guys write:

It’s with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of our show tomorrow night in Montreal. We’ve been stranded in a snowstorm outside of Buffalo for over 40 hours and still don’t know when we’ll be able to move from our current position. We’re disappointed that we won’t be able to visit as scheduled but we’ll make it up to you, Toronto and Montreal. We love you guys. We were really looking forward to the shows.
All the best,
Interpol
