Insane Clown Posse Dump Kreayshawn for Danny Brown in ‘Clownin’ Video

Insane Clown Posse clownin video ICP Kreayshawn Danny Brown

Insane Clown Posse’s latest video features a welcome surprise in the form of their Gathering of the Juggalos pal and Detroit neighbor Danny Brown. The rapper appears as part of their nightmare circus on “When I’m Clownin'” as a replacement for Kreayshawn, who did a guest verse on a bonus remix of the track from last year’s The Mighty Death Pop. So why the switch? “Kreayshawn wouldn’t call us back,” Violent J told Gawker.

Comparing the “Gucci Gucci” rhymer’s original work and Brown’s verses is akin to pitting a kindergarten poetry contest against an Adderall-crazed dissertation, of course, so what we’re saying is … it’s an improvement. Head over to Fuse to check out the video, and tune in tomorrow night for the debut episode of Insane Clown Posse Theater, which finds the face-painted posse dropping “commentary on the latest music videos, movie trailers and viral clips.”

Also, lest you forget, ICP is gearing up for the 2013 installment of the Gathering. They made the announcement last week in the manner we’ve come to expect — nay, crave: with a 30-minute YouTube clip that blurs the line between self-awareness and unabashed kitsch.
