Hear Icona Pop’s Euphoric Single ‘All Night,’ From Fall LP ‘This Is… Icona Pop’

Icona Pop

Icona Pop’s breakout hit chases a spirit of reckless abandon, but the Swedish electro-poppers have taken care crafting their proper debut album. Charli XCX-boosted banger “I Love It” just officially went double platinum in North America, and the song has recently been covered by Florence Welch and Dev Hynes, Titus Andronicus (via Stereogum), and Robin Thicke (via BBC).

On September 24, the cheerfully dynamic duo will release This Is… Icona Pop via Record Company Ten/Big Beat Records. It’s unclear whether the recently surfaced 2Pac update “Girlfriend” will appear on the album, but you can listen to new single “All Night” below. It’s a shout-along, sleep-when-we’re-dead dance anthem that melds metronomic guitars with a four-on-the-floor thump, all in keeping with singers Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo’s lyrical promise to “make the pop go rock” — or vice versa.

You can buy “All Night” now via iTunes. See the This Is… Icona Pop cover art below, where you can also check out Icona Pop’s dates for their first North American “Iconic Tour,” featuring an “all-girl” bill.
