Human Eye have been dishing out their slimy brand of psych-punk for almost 10 years, and the Detroit foursome, led by Timmy Vulgar, shows no signs of cleaning up their act. On April 30, Goner Records will unleash the latest LP from this sci-fi-minded crew of misfits, Human Eye 4: Into Unknown. But first comes "Gettin' Mean," a pulsating wave of sludge that oozes forward with the help of a bluesy garage-rock groove and Vulgar's immense charisma. "Destruction is my uniform / You wanna give me a kiss," the frontman speak-sings, just before he plants a big scuzzy one on you.
