Alabama-bred quartet Hot Rod Circuit are set to release a new album, The Underground Is a Dying Breed, on March 20 via Immortal Records. For it, they've reunited with producer Tim O'Heir -- the knob-twiddler behind their last effort, 2004's Reality's Coming Through, as well as albums by All-American Rejects and Say Anything -- to capture what frontman Andy Jackson calls "a very raw, live feel." "It is a little more stripped down and more classic Hot Rod Circuit," the singer said in a statement. You can sample what he means with "Stateside," a track boasting squiggly guitar lines, fuzzy-'round-the-edges soundscapes, and emotional plaints about crazy girls.
