Last year, Matthew E. White released Big Inner, a full-length jazz-rock opus bolstered by ornate arrangements and cozy vocals. One highlight off the Virginia singer-songwriter’s debut album was “Big Love,” a tumbling, horn-enriched single that’s now resurfaced as a stretched-out, seven-minute remix by Hot Chip. The “Dark & Stormy” maestros keep the song’s piano-plinked pulse intact, but they also fold the tune in on itself, crafting an elliptical edit marked by spiraling electro flourishes. Hear it below.
