SPIN to Host Hole's First U.S. Gig!

After a triumphant return to the stage this week in London, Courtney Love and Hole will play their first U.S. show in more than a decade at SPIN's annual bash at Stubb's BBQ in Austin, Texas, on Friday, March 19.
Nobody's Daughter, the first Hole album since 1998's Celebrity Skin, was just picked up by Mercury/Island Def Jam for an April 27 release, and Love graces the cover of SPIN's March issue, hitting newsstands next week.
Love -- along with new bandmates guitarist/songwriting partner Micko Larkin, bassist Shawn Dailey, and drummer Stu Fischer -- will join a packed lineup on the SPIN at Stubb's main stage featuring soul rockers Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Canadian punks Fucked Up, dance rocking Swedes Miike Snow, NoCal indie stalwarts Rogue Wave, and cheeky Ohio glam rockers Foxy Shazam, who landed on SPIN's 10 to Watch in 2010 list.
Das Racist and Dam-Funk will drop DJ sets between main stage performances.
On the indoor stage, Philly rockers Free Energy (also on the 10 to Watch list) and Austin's own power popsters Harlem join Goons of Doom and Audible Mainframe.

I live in Austin and would love to get a pass! I don't want to have to stand outside and wonder what's going on on the other side of the fence. I am coming from Houston,AND I NEEED TO GET INTO THIS SHOW! Hole is one of my favotite bands ever,I heard they were doing a show in Austin,wristband or not...I am still coming to SXSW to try my hardest to get in!! :/

The Spin SXSW party IS a great gig. Been going every year for the last 7 years. Unfortunately someone decided to book the talentless Courtney HoleLove as the 'headliner'. She is the most talentless excuse for a musician on this earth.
The original Hole was decent, cofounded by lead guitarist Eric Erlandson. HE was the group, not worthless excuse for a crackhead Courtney. Oh well, at least it will let me leave early with no regrets and go see Cracker on Auditorium Shores. Look for the rhythm guitar to be turned down low so we can't hear her lack of skill of the geetar.
Whoever booked this 'act' deserves the boot. Some of the earlier acts look decent but seriously, after X and the Buzz****s in previous years, Hole is about as welcome as a root canal.

How do I get passes to this?!!! My best friend an I have been fans for well over a decade and have never had the opportunity to see them live. She once scheduled a show in new orleans and of course canceled it...so this is like a once in a life time shot for us...WE NEED PASSES!!!!

I have been scramming around the web for more info and have people looking into this in Austin, even FAMILY - that says alot, for me to get into this Courtney Love gig. My letter to God is obviously failing, don't fail me spin! I NEED A WAY TO LIVE THOROUGH THIS SUCKY YEAR. Need a way to get in!

Spin's party at Stubbs is the only place you'll want to be on Friday during SXSW. Spin always has the best Bands come and party down in Austin. It is a must go to party every year. I can't wait for this year. Hole's first perfomance in ten years should make for a great kickoff for SXSW 2010. I want passes.
