Christmas still happens in places with not-so-wintry weather — and it will probably be more when climate change is considered! Joining “Mele Kalikimaka” (the Hawaiian way to spread Yuletide cheer) comes the sixth annual holiday single, from the Killers, “The Cowboy’s Christmas Ball,” a rowdy hoedown set in the rockers’ native Nevada. The song even has an amusing Western-style video, with enough bright blue skies and snowless hillsides to save Christmas for all the shorts-wearing boys and girls of the American Southwest and beyond. As if that weren’t enough, there’s an alien robot doing the robot (!). “Bill, I shan’t forget ya,” the fellas sing, warming our hearts like cookies and eggnog coagulating in the Las Vegas sun.
