Hear Wild International’s Polyrhythmic Headbanger ‘Young Wayfarer’

Wild International share a name with a One Day as a Lion song, but there’s no confusing their work with rap-rock, even if there’s a bit of Zach de la Rocha in the background screaming that ignites “Young Wayfarer,” the first, very anthemic single off the Paw Tracks-informed outfit’s self-released EP Lake Tones (due December 18). It’s a batch of polyrhythmic head-bangers that follows the band’s self-titled 2010 EP in 2010, the very same that inspired the three 19- to 20-year-old high school friends to move from their hometown of Long Island to the big city to pursue music for real, like the subject of the song below.
