No blog-bait guest verses, just the Brazilian DJ and producer's worldly dance beats
Sometimes bad girls wanna talk that talk, and sometimes they just wanna have fun. The two remixes to surface so far from M.I.A.'s Bad Girls - the Remixes, due out July 3 both as a download and as a Beyoncé-approved USB necklace, brandish some of the fiercest female spitters available (Missy Elliott, Azealia Banks, Rye Rye). The remaining remix for the release, by Brazilian DJ-producer Leo Justi, does away with high-profile guest spots and gets Maya back to her sweaty polyglot-pop grind, with Bollywood-flavored samples, Moombahton's galloping riddims, and more. Guess what? It's done well. And we're premiering it right here. (You can pre-order the USB necklace on M.I.A.'s site.)
Look for M.I.A.'s fourth proper album this fall on N.E.E.T./Interscope, and revisit what she had to tell SPIN about it here. And, on account of sheer awesomeness, here's the original "Bad Girls" video again one more time.
