Hear it Now! Eddie Vedder and Sleater-Kinney Singer Collaborate
Eddie Vedder's been busy recording Pearl Jam's forthcoming album. And former Sleater-Kinney singer/guitarist Corin Tucker's been preoccupied by raising funds for school children. But, thankfully, the two have found time to join forces to cover former X and Knitters frontman John Doe's "The Golden State" for an EP of the same name out today, Pitchfork.com reports.

The record, the duo's second collaboration after the excellent "Hard Son," off Vedder's SPIN-approved Into the Wild soundtrack, will also feature a remix, demo, and a live version of the song. The original version, from Doe's 2007 album A Year in the Wilderness featuring alt-country singer Kathleen Edwards, caps the tracklist.
