London's Charli XCX, the fiercely soulful 19-year-old popsmith who made SPIN's Best New Artists for March earlier this year, has excitedly tweeted the title track off her forthcoming (and highly anticipated) American debut EP, You're the One. No doubt sufficiently pumped up by her recent Supergirls <3 Superlove <3 Mixtape, Charli attacks "You're the One" sounding both like a new-wave diva and a radio-ready hook machine (hear a hint of Katy Perry's "E.T." in there?). The track is the only fresh song on her EP, which will also include "Nuclear Seasons" and two remixes by Blood Orange and Balam Acab. Check out the stream below and decide whether it has the guts to overtake certain other currently inescapable radio hits — or at least a good kissing scene or two in a late-summer blockbuster — when the EP drops June 12, via IAMSOUND.
