Having produced brilliant rattletrap beats for A$AP Rocky and Theophilus London — not to mention the scary-good inaugural Halloween edition of his Festival Trap Mix — Los Angeles-based producer Carnage caught the ear of work hard, party harder label Fool’s Gold Records, which will release his three-track debut on November 13. If the first single, “Bang!” is any indication, Carnage’s beats are strong enough to stand on their own. Already a monster at only two and a half minutes, the track opens like a TNGHT-wired time bomb before pushing Twilight Zone synthesizers (must be the season) and a bed of 808s. Take a listen below and be sure to check out Bang! in full, which includes B-side Kat!e with Chicago’s underground rap mistress Katie Got Bandz, when it arrives next week.
