Hawthorne Heights Flutter 'Butterfly Wings'

MySpace breakout sensations Hawthorne Heights, the post-hardcore/emo-pop quintet responsible for rock radio staples such as "Ohio Is for Lovers," translates Smashing Pumpkins' usually fiery, screeching rocker "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" into a decidedly softer selection. The band, led by vocalist/guitarist J.T. Woodruff, kicks off this online-only tune with a collective vocal rise before driving through the thick bass and big choruses, both navigated by Woodruff's trademark emo-tinged vocals.
