The Walkmen's Hamilton Leithauser Kicks Back in 'I Retired' Video

'Black Hours' single also enlists Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij

Former frontman for the Walkmen Hamilton Leithauser is set to release his solo debut Black Hours on June 3 on Ribbon Music. Today he's emerged with "I Retired," another cut from that nocturnal, downcast album. The track centers on Leithauser's reedy vocal take and a playful acoustic guitar march, but Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij comes through again with a handful of instrumental flourishes to give the track its full melancholic punch. "I Retired" comes along with a beautifully hand-lettered lyric video, which also stars a pensive looking Leithauser lying in repose. Check it out above.
