A shooting outside a Kanye West concert in Birmingham, England left one security guard hospitalized in serious condition.
Two guards were shot outside the NEC Arena on Tuesday when they attempted to stop a man without a ticket from getting inside. As of early Wednesday, one remained in the hospital while the other was discharged after receiving treatment.
“At this early stage, the motive for the shooting remains unclear but there appears to have been some sort of dispute about gaining entry to the concert,” West Midlands Detective Inspector Ian Grant told Reuters UK. Grant did say, however, that a man and a woman are being held as suspects in the incident.

The Birmingham gig was West’s last stop in the UK. He will travel to Milan, Italy to perform tomorrow (March 2).
