Having returned from their summer vacation, Green Day are back in the studio. The last time the band revealed news about the new project was earlier this summer, when they assured fans their upcoming album would be "an event." This week, Green Day threw readers of their site a bone when they wrote, "Billie, Mike, and Tre are back from summer vacations and working hard on new material for the next Green Day album. Stay tuned for more news next week." The band also continue to work on a movie for their last album, American Idiot (2004).
