Watch Glass Animals’ Creepy Yet Seductive ‘Black Mambo’ Video

'Black Mambo' Cover Art

Glass Animals’ latest single, the slithering “Black Mambo,” now has an appropriately menacing and moody visual companion. The video, directed by Harry Reavley and Cosmo Feilding Mellen, follows a hooded figure as he stalks and dances through a gated compound, the sun setting in the background. When the camera isn’t watching this ominous intruder, it’s focused on filth and dirt, homing in on slimy worms as they slink through the Earth’s grimy surface.

“Black Mambo” will serve as the lead track on Glass Animals’ upcoming double-sided single. The self-produced material, due July 1, will be the British foursome’s first release since signing with Paul Epworth’s new label, Wolf Tone. Glass Animals issued their debut EP, Leaflings, in 2012 via XL Recordings’ Kaya Kaya Records imprint.
