Get ‘Here’ with Patrick Park

Fanatic O.C. devotees will remember singer/songwriter Patrick Park. The Colorado native made his soundtrack debut on The O.C. Soundtrack, Volume 2 with “Something Pretty,” but it was the bittersweet tones of “Life is a Song” that left Cohen disciples reaching for the nearest Kleenex box as the Fox drama concluded its four-season run earlier this year. Culled from Park’s forthcoming second effort, Everyone’s in Everyone, out August 7th via Curb Appeal, “Here We Are” sees the tender-hearted troubadour continue on his melodic path as soft, lilting acoustic guitars circle lite xylophones and brushed percussion while Park’s earnest approach takes us through life’s lessons: “We can’t see past our own sad stories / and wonder what we’re doin’ / we can’t see past our own sad stories / and forget who it is we’re foolin’.” A must for fans of Aimee Mann, Elliott Smith, and Jon Brion.

Download Patrick Park’s “Here We Are” and catch Park this summer during his N.Y. and L.A. residencies.
