Gaga Brings Laughs, Glam, Glitter to ‘SNL’

Lady Gaga may have been booked as musical guest for the season finale of Saturday Night Live, along with Justin Timberlake as host, but the pop star exceeded expectations by giving cameos in three hilarious sketches, including a Lonely Island digital short with Timberlake and Andy Samberg. Watch them all here.

Gaga’s best comic spot was her cameo on “3-Way,” which starred Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg. The clip is a follow-up to the duo’s infamous “Dick in a Box” and “Motherlover” sketches, and picks up with Timberlake and Samberg’s characters bidding farewell to their mothers (reprised by Susan Sarandon and Patricia Clarkson) before heading over to Gaga’s apartment for some three-way action. (The short was a nice hat-tip to Wayne and Garth’s iconic sketch with Madonna from SNL in 1991.)

Elsewhere during the broadcast, Gaga played herself on the gut-busting game show sketch “What’s My Name” — turns out she’s beter at remembering her fans’ names than Timberlake’s one-night stands — and brought plenty of laughs with Timberlake and Kristen Wiig in “Liquorville,” where the two pop stars spoofed B.o.B and Hayley Williams’ smash hit “Airplanes.”

Gaga’s guest spots in sketches didn’t overshadow her musical performances, which were some of the most wild and over-the-top of the season — and perhaps the show’s most controversial. “Born This Way” was capped with Gaga simulating pregnancy amidst mounds of gold glitter as her leather-clad dancers writhed around her.
