Futureheads Cancel U.S. Tour

The Futureheads have been forced to cancel their U.S. tour due to the development of tendonitis in frontman Barry Hyde’s wrist. “[Barry] has been advised to rest and, as far as we can see, there is no way of us being able to make those shows work, given the state of his wrist,” reads a post on the band’s official site. “We are all deeply disappointed at having to pull the shows at such a late stage, but there is no way around it. Apologies to the people with tickets — we promise to get out to the U.S. at the next available opportunity.” The affected dates are from Oct. 4 in Seattle, WA through Oct. 28 in Boston, MA.

Cold War Kids, however, who were set to support the Futureheads on their U.S. trek, still plan to tour the U.S. this fall, bringing Street to Nowhere along for the ride. They will tentatively use the same itinerary as they were set to follow with the Futureheads.
