Future Wants Your Party to Be No 'Regular Party'

'Honest' man recounts extraordinary festivities on 'Streets Inspired 12' mixtape cut

Just about the only thing regular about Future these days is the frequency with which the Atlanta rapper and Auto-Tune troubadour releases tracks that explain why his since-delayed Honest was on SPIN's 50 Fall Albums That You Gotta Hear. The latest is "Regular Party," from the new DJ Rell and DJ Scream mixtape Streets Inspired 12.

Produced by K.E. on the Track, who also oversaw Pluto 's T.I. team-up "Magic," the song isn't so much, say, positing a regular party in opposition to IRL-gf Ciara's Future-composed "Body Party" — more like, it's celebrating a party that is No Regular Party. There are girls, dudes, and bottles, yes, just like regular parties, but with the crucial exception that Future's party will see them "turn all the way up." Those miffed over Arcade Fire's costume-or-formalwear request might be pleased to find that "there ain't no dress code / You can wear whatever you want." Sounds like your kind of party, right?

Future's Honest has most recently been pushed back to early 2014. Earlier this month, he shared fashion shout-out "Maison Margiela." Before that you could catch him in outer space with Miley Cyrus for the "Real and True" video, or delivering a hook for Pusha T on "Pain."  He's currently on tour with Drake — after working out some differences, but y'know, nothing irregular.
