Future is SPIN’s April 2014 cover star, but until earlier today, he hadn’t actually seen a physical copy of the cover. That all changed with the Atlanta rapper’s visit to BET’s 106 & Park, celebrating this week’s release of his stunning new album Honest. After asking the “Move That Dope” MC about that SPIN cover, the gracious hosts presented him with an oversized version of it, sort of like one of those novelty checks people win on game shows.
“That’s big,” he said with fantastic understatement, shortly after saying, “Shout out to SPIN.” Watch above, and if you happen to see any of our staffers out there on the rooftops shouting, “We’re on TV,” well, they’re just being honest.
