Pop breakthroughs fun. are on a victory lap right now, following two Grammy wins two weeks ago and the ensuing, inevitable boost in sales of their second album Some Nights, one of SPIN's 50 Best Albums of 2012. Its fourth single, "Why Am I The One" is a resigned breakup ballad with little of the fight or cracked-open optimism found in many of their other songs. But neither of those things are essential elements of a good fun. single, and "Why Am I the One" is another feather in the cap of one of the best working modern rock bands. The video shows a lost suitcase and it's a journey home, which takes it across the country on the back of a motorcycle before if lands, finally, on fun.'s doorstep. When the band finally opens the suitcase, we see what's inside: a metaphor.
