New York rockers French Kicks are back with their third release, Two Thousand, and a new video for that album’s single, “So Far We Are.” On the track, frontman Nick Stumpf’s croon is just as soulful, and his bandmates’ guitars as scruffily melodic, as on any song from their buzzed-about 2004 LP, The Trial of the Century, so even the cameo by starlet Olivia Wilde (The O.C.) couldn’t hurt the Kicks’ mad indie cred; in fact, it’ll only boost their teen-drama appeal.
