Artists worldwide got into the holiday spirit in 2010, offering up free downloads, brand new videos, and more. Here’s a recap of what’s out there for the taking — and it should be of special use to everyone housebound on the East Coast after yesterday’s blizzard (and those for whom the storm has caused epic travel delays).

  • GORILLAZ
Their Gift: The Fall, a brand new 15-song album, recorded by the band during their epic 2010 North American tour, which SPIN deemed the No. 1 live show of the year. Even cooler: Everything was recorded and produced on an iPad!
Where to Get It: thefall.gorillaz.com. By submitting your email address and name, you can stream the album for free. Gorillaz fan club members can download all 15 songs. Don’t want to sign up? A physical release of the album is planned for 2011.

  • LUPE FIASCO
His Gift: A new music video for “The Show Goes On,” his Modest Mouse-sampling single, from Lupe’s next album, Lasers, out in March

  • YEASAYER
Their Gift: Live at Ancienne Belgique, a live album featuring music from their 2010 release, Odd BloodNo. 12 on SPIN’s 40 Best Albums of 2010 list.

Where to Get It: The Sincerely Yours website. It’s free!

  • KLAXONS
Their Gift: A five-song EP of unreleased material, culled from 2008 recording sessions that the band describes as “magical.” It’s called Landmarks of Lunacy.
