With lightly-strummed acoustic guitar and Doherty's echo-enhanced vocals, "New Love Grows On Trees" is far removed from the noisy garage rock of the Libertines. But Doherty's acerbic wit and morbid lyricism are certainly intact: "If you're still alive when you're 25 / Should I kill you, like you asked me to."

Yeah, He wrote and recorded this song years ago, you blinking idiot. It's in the babyshambles sessions. I hope you don't consider yourself a journalist.
I'm glad he's finally releasing this though.
