Hear Foxygen’s Guitarist Go Solo (With White Fence) on ‘Faces’

jonathan rado, law and order, solo album, foxygen

Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado will take a breather from his main gig this fall when he issues his debut solo album. The LP, titled Law and Order, is due September 3 via Woodsist. So far, the 23-year-old Californian has confirmed several song titles: “Seven Horses,” “Hand in Mine,” “Looking 4a Girl Like U,” “I Wood,” “All the Lights Went Out in Georgia,” and “Pot of Gold.”

Another track slated for the full-length is “Faces,” a shambling tune that builds from flower-child affectations to a frayed crescendo, thanks to guest guitar from White Fence’s Tim Presley. Hear it below.

Before Rado drops Law and Order, he’ll hit the road with Foxygen in support of this year’s We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace and Magic. The duo canceled their 2013 European gigs a few months back, citing “creative health reasons,” but they’ll be trekking across North America between June and October. Tour dates below the stream.
