Considering that 4th of July is about Independence and the free spirit, I would think any album by Rage Against the Machine would be a good pick for the weekend. If you're looking for newer hip hop influenced rock, I recently discovered a debut album from a NY band called Kongcrete on iTunes. Surprisingly good stuff. Check out www.myspace.com/kongcrete. Either way, I think RATM is the way to go. What's July 4th without a bit of controversial music? Enjoy your weekend, y'all!
